Celebration Day - Led Zeppelin -------------------------------------------- From the album 'Led Zep III' transcribed by Howard Wright hakwright (at) gmail (dot) com I'm going to be really lazy here ... Well I was a bit shocked to find absolutely NO TAB for this one at OLGA, so I thought I'd just send a line or two of TAB for the main riff. Since if you can play the riff, you can play 60% of the song I thought its not a bad start. I'm tabbing it for just one guitar - this is really based on the live version from The SongRemains The Same, but if you prefer you can split it into two parts to make it a tiny bit easier to play. Myself, I like the challenge of playing the thing on one guitar. So here it is : Standard tuning. b = bend up / = slide p = pull off E-------------9-9-9-9-9-9-9-------------------------------------- B-------------8-8-8-8-8-8-8-------------------------------------- G-------------9-9-9-9-9-9-9-------------------------------------- D---------/7--7-7-7-7-7-7-7----------5p2---4p2------------------- A--3b4--0------------------------0-------0-----0--3b4--0--------- E----------------------------8b9--------------------------------- repeat over and over ... That's it really ! The note and bend on the low E string is there to give you a little more time to move your hand back down - while the open A is ringing you have a little breathing space to do it. Also the exact pull-offs etc for the last few notes may change a little - the notes are right but the order may change a tiny bit. On the studio version there is an extra bit - one guitar plays the first few bent/slid notes, but plays a slightly different few notes a few bars later. Something like this : E B G------------------------------- D---------/7----------------------- A--3b4-0-------------3b4--0------------------- E-----------------------------3b5---------- The rest of the song uses these chords : C, G, Bb, F and a bit of E Have fun !
